The St. Catherine’s Fund

The St Catherine’s Fund was launched to provide a pool of money that can be used to pay for a variety of projects that will benefit members of the College. Alumni have responded generously to the Fund and their gifts have made an enormous difference to the facilities the College can offer its students. The Fund provides a source of money that can be spent every year where the need is greatest - on items that the College might otherwise not be able to afford, or on projects that it might otherwise have to postpone implementing. These might be immediate needs (such as the creation of a new IT room in 1999) or more long-term projects (enhancing hardship funds, for example). The key importance of the Fund to the Foundation is that it enables it, in a flexible manner, to make significant and immediate improvements to the College.

Since its inception, the Fund has financed many projects, including the creation of a new computer room, improvements to the Music House, the College library, new and safer gym equipment, the provision of keyboards for Music finalists, and Ethernet wiring of the entire College.
